Accessibility Statement
Effective date: May 4, 2026
Last updated: May 4, 2026
Humax AI Inc. is committed to making our website and programs accessible to as many people as possible — including women with disabilities, women learning in a second language, and women using assistive technology.
This commitment is core to our mission: we exist to welcome women who were never invited into technology.
1. Our standard
We aim for WCAG 2.1 Level AA — the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). We also follow the spirit of:
- The Accessible Canada Act (federal, where applicable to our operations)
- The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) as a recognized Canadian standard, even though Humax AI is based in British Columbia
- The Accessible British Columbia Act
2. What we do to support accessibility
Across our website and program content, we work to:
- Use a minimum body text size of 17 pixels with line height that supports easy reading
- Maintain WCAG AA color contrast (at least 4.5:1) between text and background
- Provide descriptive alt text on every image
- Use visible labels on every form field — not placeholder-only labels
- Ensure all interactive elements work with keyboard navigation alone
- Provide visible focus states so keyboard and switch users can see where they are
- Build the website to be responsive at mobile, tablet, and desktop sizes
- Set the correct language attributes on every page (
lang="en"for English, lang="fa" dir="rtl"for Farsi) - Avoid black backgrounds and harsh contrast blocks
- Avoid auto-playing audio or video
- Caption pre-recorded video where it is part of program content
3. Bilingual support — English and Farsi
All Humax AI pages are available in English and Farsi (Persian). The Persian Wings initiative is built natively in Farsi with full right-to-left (RTL) layout and the Vazirmatn font, designed to support Persian-speaking learners — including women using assistive technology in their first language.
4. Known limitations
We're honest about where we are not yet meeting our standard:
- Some older content (created before this site launched) may not yet be fully accessible — we are reviewing it
- Live community calls (where applicable) may not include real-time captioning at every event; recorded versions are captioned
- Third-party tools we link to (Shopify, Teachable, Google, AI platforms) have their own accessibility statements, which may differ from ours
If you find a barrier, we want to know.
5. How to report an accessibility issue
If something on our site is not accessible to you, or if you need a piece of content in an alternative format (large print, plain-text version, audio summary), please contact us:
Email: connect@humaxai.ca
Subject line: Accessibility Request
Please include:
- The page or program where you encountered the issue
- A short description of what isn't working for you
- The assistive technology you're using (if any)
- The format you'd prefer the content in
We aim to respond within 5 business days and to resolve issues — or provide an alternative — within 30 days.
6. Alternative formats
We can provide our written content in alternative formats on request, at no charge:
- Plain-text version (no images, no formatting)
- Large-print PDF
- Audio summary (where reasonable)
- Translated summary (English ↔ Farsi)
7. Continuous improvement
Accessibility isn't a one-time project. We commit to:
- Reviewing the site against WCAG 2.1 AA at least once per year
- Auditing every new program or major page before launch
- Acting on accessibility feedback we receive from learners
- Training anyone who creates content for us in basic accessibility practices
