Cookie Policy
Effective date: May 4, 2026
Last updated: May 4, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies we use on www.humaxai.ca, why we use them, and the choices you have. It applies alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit. Cookies help websites remember things about you — like whether you're logged in, what's in your shopping cart, or what language you prefer.
We also use similar technologies, including web beacons, pixel tags, and local storage, to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
2. What we use cookies for
We use cookies in four categories. Only the first category is strictly necessary for the site to work; the others are optional and you can opt out of them.
Strictly necessary
These keep the website running. Without them, you couldn't log in, complete a purchase, or move between pages. They cannot be turned off.
| Cookie source | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Shopify | Cart, checkout, secure session, login state |
| Our website | Cookie consent preferences, language toggle (EN |
Functional
These remember your choices to make the site work better for you.
| Cookie source | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Our website | Remember your preferred language, font size, or other accessibility settings |
Analytics
These help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. The data is anonymous and aggregated — we don't see your individual browsing behavior.
| Cookie source | Purpose | Tool |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics (or equivalent) | Track which pages are visited, time on site, referring source | A privacy-respecting analytics tool |
Marketing
We currently do not use marketing or advertising cookies. We do not run retargeting ads or share your browsing data with advertising networks. If this changes, we will update this policy and request your consent before activating them.
3. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by services we use to deliver our platform. They are governed by those companies' own privacy and cookie policies:
- Shopify — checkout, payments, customer accounts
- Teachable — once you're enrolled in a program, Teachable uses cookies to deliver course content
- Google Analytics — anonymous site analytics
- Shopify Email — email open and click tracking inside our newsletter
Please review each provider's cookie practices on their own website if you want details.
4. Your choices
Cookie banner
The first time you visit www.humaxai.ca, we show a cookie consent banner. You can:
- Accept all — allow all categories
- Reject all but necessary — only strictly necessary cookies will be set
- Customize — choose category by category
You can update your choices any time by clicking "Cookie Settings" in the website footer.
Browser controls
Every modern browser lets you view, manage, and delete cookies. Look in your browser's settings menu — usually under "Privacy" or "Cookies and site data." You can also set your browser to refuse all cookies or to alert you when a site sets one.

A note on disabling cookies: if you turn off strictly necessary cookies, parts of our site (like checkout and login) won't work. Functional and analytics cookies can be turned off without affecting how the site functions for you.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. We honor browser-level Do Not Track requests for analytics cookies where supported.
5. How long cookies stay on your device
| Cookie type | Typical lifespan |
|---|---|
| Session cookies (e.g., login, cart) | Deleted when you close your browser |
| Functional cookies (e.g., language, accessibility) | Up to 12 months |
| Analytics cookies | Up to 14 months |
| Cookie consent record | 12 months (so we don't show the banner every visit) |
You can delete cookies from your device at any time using your browser settings.
6. Children's cookies
Our site is intended for adults. We don't knowingly set cookies on devices we believe belong to children under 18. See our Privacy Policy §8 for more on children's privacy.
7. Changes to this Cookie Policy
If we add new cookies or change how we use existing ones, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes — for example, if we ever decide to use marketing cookies — we will request fresh consent before activating them.
